“What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it?” - Luke 13:18 ESV I’ve recognized lately that I haven’t been pondering enough on the eternal hope that awaits me in the future. So I’ve been adjusting and resting my gaze of the future across a landscape often described in the Bible as the Kingdom of God. And you guys, it’s been getting me hyped! Here is a list I’d like to share with you to get you hyped too! Before we get to the list, here are two super simplified things to understand about God’s Kingdom:
1. No more loneliness. There is hope and total, eternal fulfillment in the Kingdom of God! All relationships will be meaningful and enriching. All of heavens denizens will prefer each other over themselves all the time. Every person will get to have personal relationship and unlimited, direct access to the unfailing, everlasting love of God THE Father! 2. No more suffering. Every citizen of the Kingdom of God will have perfect physical, mental, and emotional health! Fulfillment in their purpose and in every relationship will be everyone’s experience. Everyone will celebrate and know forever that God is THE Restorer! 3. No more war. The future is bright and it’s completely filled with peace! A perfect King that everyone will desire to follow and worship passionately. Everyone will be seen as friend in each others eyes. All will be in unity and agree that God is THE Peacemaker! 4. No more injustice. God and everyone in His Kingdom will be trustworthy, loyal, honest and integrous! Every operation and relationship with be conducted with total justice, grace and compassion. There will constantly be new songs, dances, artistic expressions, technological breakthroughs. People will celebrate creativity in every area of life with God THE Creator. The bottom line is God’s Kingdom of eternal hope is definitely going to happen. There are no conditions for it, it’s guaranteed! As much as I like talking about the Kingdom of God, it is also a responsibility for every follower of Jesus to participate in revealing His Kingdom to the world and inviting them into it. I often ask myself, can people see hope in my life? Can they see a loving God through the way I treat my family, friendships, strangers, the poor and the orphaned, the broken hearted, and abused? Or am I following the patterns of a fallen world? IF YOU WANT TO GO DEEPER WITH THE TOPIC OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD HERE ARE SOME SCRIPTURES THAT YOU CAN READ AND PRAY ON:
