On July 16th I will embarking on my first solo missions trip away from Livé and Mateo. I have to say I have pretty mixed feelings about it. I'm a little bit excited and a little bit nervous. I'm worried that I will either love it too much and feel guilty, or be too distracted with thinking about them I won't fully get to be involved with everything God is doing around me. But none the less, here I am planning :) I will start my journey by flying to Townsville Australia to attend a "Ship Equip Ministry Gathering" that YWAM Townsville is hosting. Any YWAM location that is either already doing Ships ministry or interested in doing Ship ministry will be there. I am particularly excited to see the Townsville Gateway Office. This office processes all the applications and visa paperwork necessary for individuals and medical professionals join the ship for short term missions trips. This is exciting for me as I lead the Gateway team here in Kona. Hopefully I will learn a few things that I can bring back here to help us be more effective in our ministry.
After I depart Townsville I will be flying to Madang, Papua New Guinea to board our medical Ship the m/v Pacific Link. I will spend 5 days visiting with our Discipleship Training School students. Checking out what their ministry has been like, processing what God is teaching them, and getting a better understanding of life on board. I am still in need of $1000 USD to purchase my airfare for the trip. I have already covered my living expenses, so I am just in need of my flight. Would you prayerfully consider donating to my journey? All donations are tax deductible. For donation options click here:
